At the October 2017 meeting of the Trustees, The Collins Foundation approved 24 single-year grants and 8 multi-year grants, totaling more than $1.4 million awarded to community based organizations across Oregon.

Artists Repertory Theatre -- $60,000 to produce plays and programs, and provide equity training for staff, artists, and board members in Portland
Boom Arts -- $7,000 to support the 2017-18 performance series, “Culture as Resistance.”
Lane Arts Council -- $10,000 to provide in-school arts education and artist residencies in rural Lane County
Marylhurst University -- $50,000 in honor of Maribeth Collins
Third Rail Repertory Theatre -- $12,000 to support operations and programs to strengthen organizational sustainability and enrich audience experiences in Portland

Curry Child Abuse Intervention Center (dba Wally's House) -- $50,000 over two years to establish a full-time advocate position and a part-time administrative assistant position to serve more children and family members at a child abuse assessment center in rural Gold Beach
Ophelia's Place -- $75,000 over three years to expand girls empowerment programming in rural Junction City
Volunteers of America Oregon -- $35,000 to purchase a van to meet new state regulations for transporting children participating in therapeutic early childhood programs that serve low-income families in Portland
Kids Club of Harney County -- $100,000 to construct a gymnasium to serve community members of all ages in rural Burns
National Indian Child Welfare Association (NICWA) -- $20,000 to support public policy education and Tribal community development to promote culturally-specific child welfare services for American Indian/Alaska Native families in Oregon through a challenge match

Sisters of the Road -- $50,000 over two years to re-establish an executive director position to oversee programs to promote justice and dignity for people living in poverty and experiencing houselessness in Portland
Verde -- $100,000 over two years to support asset-building, workforce development, and renewable energy programs to promote economic and environmental sustainability for low-income residents of color in Portland's Cully neighborhood
REACH Community Development -- $150,000 over two years to construct 198 affordable apartment units in North Portland primarily to serve individuals and families of color who have been displaced from North and Northeast Portland
Salem Dream Center -- $50,000 over two years to hire a program coordinator to expand education and community enrichment programs primarily serving Latino students and families residing in a low-income West Salem neighborhood in part through a challenge match
Proud Ground -- $85,000 over three years to increase organizational capacity to expand homeownership opportunities for low- and middle-income families across Oregon
Basic Rights Education Fund -- $40,000 to support programs and operations to address youth, racial, and transgender justice for LGBTQ individuals statewide
Family Forward Oregon -- $50,000 to train racially diverse teams of low- and middle-income women in Portland, Salem, Eugene, and Bend to shape and advocate for policies promoting economic security for mothers and their families
Habitat for Humanity of Oregon -- $85,000 to provide funding, training, and technical assistance to habitat affiliates across Oregon, positioining them to provide housing and home repair assistance to low-income seniors, families, and individuals with disabilities
Helping Hands Re-entry Outreach Centers -- $20,000 to support operations and programs serving homeless individuals and families in rural Yamhill, Clatsop, Tillamook, and Lincoln Counties
Lotus Rising Project -- $23,000 to support operations and staffing to expand programs serving LGBTQ youth and adults in Jackson and Josephine Counties
Northwest Pilot Project -- $30,000 to expand housing and support services to more low-income seniors at risk of and experiencing homelessness in Portland
Outback Retirement Center, Inc. -- $15,000 to complete a kitchen upgrade in a community center to establish meal programs primarily serving low-income seniors in rural Christmas Valley
Tillamook County Women's Resource Center -- $20,000 to expand a bilingual advocate position to full time to serve Latino survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Tillamook County
Urban Gleaners -- $25,000 to expand capacity to collect and distribute increased food donations and support equity training to increase cultural responsiveness
Education
The Shadow Project -- $45,000 over two years to expand the advancing equity initiative to better serve children with learning disabilities in general education classrooms in the Portland and David Douglas School Districts
Health & Science
Eastern Oregon Healthy Living Alliance -- $20,000 to support a collaborative incorporating behavioral and mental health services into home visiting programs supporting early childhood health in rural Umatilla, Morrow, Grant, and Malheur Counties
LifeWorks Northwest -- $35,000 to renovate a facility to establish a federally-certified community behavioral health clinic to provide comprehensive health services for low-income Hillsboro residents
Returning Veterans Project -- $11,000 to expand access to pro bono therapeutic and holistic care for Oregon's post-9/11 veterans and their families
Humanities
Benton County Historical Society -- $70,000 to construct a new museum in Corvallis' cultural corridor to expand exhibition space and community programs
Four Rivers Cultural Center and Museum -- $20,000 to purchase a reader board for a community center serving culturally-diverse residents in rural Ontario and the surrounding area
Vancouver Avenue First Baptist Church -- $60,000 to renovate community meeting spaces and classrooms, and establish an African American cultural history museum in a historic North Portland building
